POSITION: 1st Line IT Support Analyst

SALARY: £16k - 20k

BENEFITS: Company Pension, free car parking

LOCATION: Gosport, Hants. PO12 1BG

DESCRIPTION:

Our client has been established for over 20 years and provides bespoke software development, comprehensive IT support, consultancy and solutions. The company is looking for a 1st Line IT Support Analyst to join the existing development team as a result of an internal promotion. The successful candidate will be someone who is keen on developing their skills and working on challenging and engaging projects.

JOB ROLE (not limited to)
  • To receive telephone and email requests from users and act on them appropriately.
  • To log all requests in the helpdesk system.
  • To liaise regularly with other members of the team where appropriate.
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service.
  • To monitor and prioritise helpdesk incidents and ensure where possible SLA's are met.
  • To escalate any incidents that is outside of your skill set to the most appropriate person / team.
  • To set up hardware and software as required.
  • To monitor, identify and resolve any issues related to the company's hosted and managed services, for example, backup systems etc.
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • To ensure all technical documentation is kept up to date.
  • To ensure that other employees follow correct authorisation procedures for each individual company.
  • To ensure that newer employees receive assistance when they are unable to complete a task.
  • To maintain technical documents as appropriate.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Experience in a similar role for a minimum of 6 months is required.
  • A high degree of technical competence and a strong learning aptitude.
  • Understand that the customer always comes first.
  • An excellent work ethic and the ability to manage and prioritise their own working time.
  • Be lively, intelligent, articulate, and trustworthy and have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic 'can-do' attitude.
  • Presentable and approachable with an aptitude for proactive business development.
  • Be flexible and willing to learn new skills as well as being prepared to execute routine tasks.
