Main Purpose of Role
We are recruiting for an exciting role within the HR team at Wilmington. The role is to assist the Learning and Communications Manager in enabling the development and engagement of employees across all Wilmington businesses. You will be joining at a crucial time as we look to transform the experience of our employees at Wilmington through promoting a culture of learning and driving pace and progress across all of our businesses.

Whilst mainly working in the L&D space, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in Internal Communications activities, as the role reports into the Learning and Communications Manager at Wilmington.

Key responsibilities:
• Organising and booking training activities for colleagues across the business
• To provide support for all L&D and comms related queries across Wilmington. Ensuring swift query resolution and proactive interaction with colleagues at all times.
• To drive efficient L&D logistics including the coordination of all courses from gathering nominations, communicating course instructions, pre-learning material, dealing with cancellations and alterations
• To log and process invoices from suppliers
• To support with the identification of suitable learning providers to deliver internal programmes
• To update and issue joining instructions and gather and collate feedback for L&D courses and programmes - creating a dialogue with learners
• Promoting learning initiatives and campaigns on WilNet and Yammer - helping to create a profile for L&D at Wilmington
• Helping to scope out comms campaigns and initiatives across the business e.g. Learning at Work Week, Mental Health Awareness, Pride etc
• Preparing accurate ad hoc L&D reports for Leadership meetings including progress on mandatory learning and course completion
• Assist in creating and delivering a programme of Town Halls, Lunch & Learns - marketing the events and creating buzz

We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...
- Experience in the same or similar role
- Be educated to a degree level or equivalent qualification or have an equivalent level of proven work experience in an HR or Comms environment
- Be comfortable dealing with people at all levels of the organisation from CEO and Board level to juniors and new joiners
- Have a meticulous approach to organising events from end-to-end
- Be personable and approachable with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Able to deliver excellent customer service
- Able to support and encourage continuous improvement
- Understand (or curious to learn) what makes a great learning experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is beneficial.
