Based in Cambridgeshire, and Nottingham

Salary to £22,000, plus benefits

Following a large scale investment, this general insurance entity is looking for account handlers to help service its ever increasing demand. Working within the wholesale broking division, the roles are required to help provide new busines quotations and service renewal offers to its large sub-broker base.

The work will involve commercial insurance products and personal lines products, so is a great mixture of types of business to really cut your teeth.

We welcome all applications from candidates who have a minimum of 12 months experience of working within an insurance broker or insurer office.

The Role
  • Working within the wholesale division, you will be responsible for
  • Assisting sub-brokers with new business enquiries, liaising with insurers where necessary
  • Assisting sub-brokers with renewal terms, again liaising with insurers where necessary
  • Ensuring that correct documents are issued for each quotation and renewal
  • Offering the best terms for each client risk
  • Follow up on the quotations and renewals to ensure a strong conversion

  • You will have a minimum of 12 months experience with either a general insurance broker or general insurer - experience of Motor Fleet would be highly desirable
  • You will have either had contact with insurance brokers and/or clients directly
  • You will have an excellent telephone manner
  • You will be competent with Microsoft products
  • You will have a developing knowledge of general insurance products
  • You must be a team player, and work with integrity at all times
  • You must be willing to learn, and be driven to enhance your skills and experience
