The Entertainer is the largest family-owned toy retailer with over 165 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online and international business. We have opened over 30 new UK stores in the past two years and we have ambitious plans for further growth. As part of the brands International growth strategy we have recently acquired the Spanish toy retailer Poly which has seen an addition of 55 shops to the retail estate in Spain. Most recently we completed the acquisition of the Early Learning Centre, which will see an addition of 400 shops internationally and 78 stores in the UK. This is an exciting time for the business as we look to integrate these companies and build the brands. We are also developing a number of new and exciting partnerships currently, with Entertainer concessions within Matalan stores one such example. We are now looking for a Licensing Marketing Executive to join our marketing head office team based in Little Chalfont, close to Amersham. Reporting into the Head of Marketing the Licensing Marketing Executive will help deliver best in class marketing campaigns to drive sales of new and popular properties. The Licensing Marketing Executive will ensure the buying, retail and online marketing teams deliver on agreed plans, with the overall result being to drive revenue growth from our licensors and suppliers. You will support the Senior Marketing & Licensing Manager in building relationships and building campaigns with our key partners.

Responsibilities - Licensing Marketing Executive

- Updating the Marketing Calendar and campaign matrix with new activity and circulating to the key stakeholders, communicating any key timelines to the team.

- Maintain continuous communication across relevant meetings and communications to ensure agreed campaigns are delivered (Buying, Merchandising, Marketing & Online)

- Manage and run partner activity update meetings. Partner brands include Disney, Universal and Lego

- Create and update post marketing campaign evaluation reports for every campaign, working with wider marketing team to gather all the information and sales.

- Feedback to all stakeholders on campaign success

- Support in maintaining and developing partnerships and relationships with key licensors and suppliers to identify and activate key strategic, tactical and commercial opportunities.

- Support the Senior Marketing & Licensing Manager in to utilise the entire communication mix of The Entertainer to deliver effective innovative campaigns.

- Constantly review opportunities for how we can use retail space, digital space and other assets to deliver effective campaigns.

- Creating pitches to present to licensors and suppliers.

- Attend previews and trade shows to actively seek opportunities.

- Updating the Partner Income Sheet and submitting debit notes for funding from licensors and suppliers.

Required Skills - Licensing Marketing Executive

- Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification in marketing and experience within a marketing environment involving PR and media

- Background in a sales led marketing role is key

- Excellent communicator, adept in presenting ideas and communicating actions

- Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task

- Driven and able to work under your own initiative with a willingness to learn

- Creative and imaginative with an analytical mind set and ability to problem-solve

A keen people person, you'll be able to build solid relationships across internal and external teams to help ensure we're able to deliver effective campaigns. The Licensing Marketing Executive will bring a marketing and sales understanding to the role and with your tenacity and passion, ensure a customer centric approach to everything you do.

You may have gained your previous experience as a Licensing Coordinator, Sales & Marketing Executive, Retail & Licensing Executive or as a Sales & Marketing Executive.
