Commercial Finance Manager

The Commercial Finance team business partners the Sales and Marketing teams to drive, support, challenge and advise on commercial decision making within the business.

The team is critical to delivering business objectives through accurate and timely performance reporting, robust sales and profit forecasts and high-quality analysis and insight.

The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for partnering the business and act as the point of contact for all Finance related queries. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager you will take joint ownership for all reporting, forecasting and analysis critical to driving business performance and support with day to day requirements of the various business partners.

The role would suit an ambitious CIMA/ACCA qualified candidate or almost qualified who can challenge the status quo, and with a desire to progress within a fast paced, rapidly growing business.


Business Partnering : Working closely with Account Managers, supporting with commercial decisions through provision of actionable insight and challenging assumptions

Monthly Forecasting : Liaising with stakeholders to generate accurate forecasts that are based on robust data and assumptions. Preparation of monthly pack for US sign off

Performance Reporting : With support from the Finance Analysts, owning the process of all reporting, taking responsibility for accuracy of the reporting

Retailer Engagement : Sharing analysis and insight to support joint business plans and growth driving initiatives

Business case development : Working with Account Managers and Sales VPs to ensure business cases are built on robust assumptions, all costs are considered and returns delivered achieve the desired hurdle rate

Activity effectiveness evaluation : Agreeing success measure for sales driving activity and completing post completion evaluations

Annual Budgeting : Working with commercial stakeholders to prepare GM budget for the coming year

Demonstrator allocations : Working with Retailers and Account Manager to ensure the adequate stock provision for in store demonstrators, without over stocking stores

Data maintenance : Ensuring all data is accurate, consistent, and that the data capturing process is reliable and efficient

Attributes and Skills


·ACCA / CIMA qualified

•Advanced MS Excel

•Problem solving and initiative

•Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at various levels

•Team player

•Eagerness to learn and can do attitude

•Previous experience in a business partnering role


•Experience of MS Access or other Database software

•Financial forecasting
