Our client's Risk department plays a key role in ensuring we balance our growth with robust risk management and controls, supported by effective governance, policies and procedures. Whether working in Compliance; Operational Risk; Enterprise Risk; Credit Risk; Financial Crime; Retail or Business Finance Risk, everyone helps to implement and embed a risk management ethos and culture that ensures our customers are treated fairly whilst supporting our business model and strategic priorities. The Role

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious graduate from a numerate or analytical degree to join our progressive organisation based in Central Manchester. This is an exciting role as you will rotate around business with a primary focus in Risk and eventual seat within the Invoice Finance Recoveries Team. You will gain varied experience that will enable you to have the skills and experience to develop within the Risk & Recoveries area. You will liaise with senior level managers and require confidence and gravitas to operate with this level of stakeholder.

After gaining experience through department rotation, accountabilities will include -
  • Managing a portfolio of Clients
  • Review and analysis of new recoveries cases with a view to implementing strategy
  • Liaising with Solicitors, Insolvency Practitioners and other associated professionals
  • Supporting the Recoveries Manager with various reporting obligations
  • Identifying potential provisions that may be required
  • Ensuring that fees and collect out income is in line with our Policies

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree in a numerate subject
  • Desire to forge a career in Banking in a Risk / Credit biased role
  • Hunger and determination to succeed in a unique developmental opportunity
  • Desire to learn, question and understand a wide number of different functions within the business
  • A tenacious approach
