We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of IT Business Engagement Manager. The role holder will lead the relationship function within the IT Organisation dedicated to Commercial Banking, part of the CMB IT team, it supports the coverage of a subset of the IT service offerings consumed as a face of to the business.

Key duties include:

  • Act as the owner of the IT Organisations order-book work for both Business and IT driven programs with emphasis on ever greening and critical systems.
  • Understand the IT Controls and how they impact the business and provide accurate reporting and tracking.
  • Assist the Business with the understanding of IT costs and through the promotion of IT initiatives drive down the cost of ownership of the IT Infrastructure estate.
  • Manage the day-to-day interface with the country and regional business stakeholders (CCO, GTRF product team etc.).
  • Serve as the "voice of the country" during the development of global IT strategy, and ensure global designs are pragmatic and consider local needs and constraints.
  • Provide region/country COO with full oversight of and advice on all Technology issues related to the Country e.g. resolution of critical Technology incidents & co-ordination of key change and delivery deployments in region.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong experience in the IT industry, specifically in an engagement manager or similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding and the ability to apply Project Management discipline and portfolio management.
  • Solid working experience in business or technical analysis within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of technology and IT applications, up to date with latest technology trends and ideas in the wider market.
  • Experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
  • University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Willing to travel overseas when required

The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London.
