Job Description:

Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for a Financial Services Administrator in Exeter to join a Chartered practice.

The purpose of the position is to support the Financial Planners both in terms of new business and offering a high level of ongoing service.

Main Duties

•Support financial planners to meet business targets

•Act as day-to-day point of contact for client service to resolve administrative issues

•Manage financial planners' diaries by booking meetings

•Help financial planners prepare for meetings

•Assist Paraplanners to conduct product and investment research

•Assist Paraplanners to write suitability letters to confirm advice

•Help ensure files are compliant and complete

•Process new business and track to completion

•Write letters to clients and providers as appropriate

•Provide a high level of service to clients, including regular valuations

•Perform general office administration tasks, such as handling post, emails

•Maintain and update back office systems, including Wrap platforms

•Help organise events and seminars

•Perform other ad-hoc tasks in the office as required

Skills and experience required:


·You must be able to priorities and manage your own workload

·Have excellent team working skills

·Able to communicate efficiently with all individuals including the Financial Planners

·High level of organisational skills with a keen eye for detail


·GCSE passes grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)

·CII Award in Financial Administration (or equivalent)

·Financial Services Administration experience

·Excellent telephone manner and confident in dealing with clients / third parties

·Knowledge of MS Office, FSA Compliance procedures

·Understanding of the Financial Advice process

·Compilation of suitability letters with other client / product provider correspondence


·A Levels

·CII Certificate in Regulated Financial Service (or equivalent)

·Previous experience within an IFA

·Knowledge of pensions/pensions administration

·Research and analysis skills re: financial advice

·Familiar with Intelligent Office

·Project management and Investment research knowledge
