The Role

Bow Arts is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Administrator/Bookkeeper to support the Trust's Head of Finance. The purpose of the role is to provide general finance administration in line with the Trust's agreed financial procedures, and to maintain accurate finance records.

The Finance Administrator will be an integral part of the Business and Administration team and assist in the smooth running of all aspects of this busy team. They will play an important part in the efficient day-to-day administration of the organisation, specifically focusing on the management of finances, and on providing vital operational support to the Head of Finance and the rest of the Bow Arts team. The key responsibilities of a Finance Administrator include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing general finance administration in line with the Trust's agreed financial procedures
  • Creating and updating spreadsheets of daily transactions, and helping the Head of Finance maintaining reports on financial metrics and projections (e.g. liquidity and cash flow)
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable, identifying and addressing account discrepancies
  • Reviewing and processing reimbursements
  • Keeping records of invoices and other payments
  • Any other task as reasonably required of you

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Finance Administrator:
  • Proven work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant or similar role
  • Hands-on experience or ability to learn with accounting software; and a good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
  • Time-management and organisation skills, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics highly desirable
