Tesco Bank have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Manager to join our busy General Insurance team. Key responsibilities Developing price changes options (exc dev initiatives), in line with principles and constraints, designed to deliver our agreed financial plan. Including monitoring of agreed price changes Performing detailed new business and renewal KPI monitoring to understand trading performance and highlight any changes in performance in a timely manner. This includes revising expectations and investigating potential changes to achieve business objectives. Providing up to dates and accurate pricing KPIs into planning cycles in a timely manner. Impact assessments of proposed net rate changes and changes suggested by partner pricing manager, with the exceptions of net rate refresh projects. Investigating individual customer complaints in a timely manner Updating rating tables in line with approved rate changes, following Commercial Pricing Process. Developing supporting analysis for marketing message substantiation Providing support to agreed commercial change initiatives. Keeping my knowledge, skills and abilities up-to-date and ensuring my team do likewise. Ensure that all processes are run safely and controls are fit for purpose, monitored and reported on. Where failures occur events are raised and managed and improvement plans implemented. Required skills and experience Data/statistical analysis Competent with pricing tools such such as SAS, Earnix, RADAR, Excel and other tools as required Effective organsiational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, with the customer and business in mind Strong communication skills Strong mathematical/statistical/actuarial skill set - nearly qualified actuary preferable. A strong understanding of the factors that influence insurance pricing and P&L management.
