Our client is a charity with their head offices in Chalgrove. The benefits of their charity are far reaching, giving benefit to people of all ages, both in the care and education sectors.

As their organisation grows, they are working with us here at Better People Ltd to source an experienced Salesforce Database Administrator. This is a 2 year renewable contract.

The Database Support role can be worked on a part time basis with reduced hours. May be to fit around school hours if required.

This is a new post in the organisation. The post holder will be a key member of the team, and their contribution and input to policy will be welcomed. They will work closely with the operations and financial functions, to give senior-level support to the CEO.

Duties will Include:
  • Database management of a membership database, closely linked to financial and fundraising operations
  • Training and coaching internal and future external users
  • Managing the interface between data processing and work process requirements
  • Managing embedded communications, amending and revising as required
  • Design of management reports
  • Production of management information from the database, using regular and ad hoc reporting
  • Analysis of data produced, validation and consequent contribution to business knowledge, operational and policy decisions.
  • Management of own database development as well as project work with external specialist Salesforce developers.
  • Production of the annual budgets for Volunteer and database management within the overall company budget and responsibility for managing those resources on a day to day basis

Ideal Candidates:

Will have experience in a membership or volunteers management role in a Not for Profit, Charity or social enterprise (not essential)
  • Will have experience in a database support role, including responsibility for bulk data handing, designing and producing reports, data hygiene and security in a similar organisation
  • Will be Experienced user of Salesforce in a similar role.
  • Will have User knowledge of and experience with one or more complex databases, ideally with experience of the user/technical interface as well as operational and customer management, is essential
  • Will be great communicators with good presentation skills
  • Will be able to empathise with company cause and mission and to be considerate of volunteers.
  • Will have own transport due to rural location.

Details of employment.

Hours: 37 hours a week. Flexible hours may be available. Company operates from 9-4.30 with a 30 minute lunch break.

School hours may be available and salary will be pro - rata according to hours worked.

Travel: There may be occasional periodic travel throughout the UK to events, to meet volunteers and observe volunteer service in action. This will be fully expensed with time off in lieu as appropriate.
