Ellisknight are working with a fantastic organisation based in Didcot who are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The Senior Finance Manager vacancy has arisen due to a staff member who has left the business and as a result the client has up skilled this vacancy to anticipate a number of key initiatives that are going to start over the next 6 months.

We are seeking a proven team manager who is looking for a progressive step in their career, you must be able to run a department of 6 heads.

Your new job will consist of the following duties;
  • Provide routine and timely financial and other reports to the required degree of accuracy for submission to the Head of Finance as a fully reviewed final version.
  • Be accountable for the integrity of the content of the company's books of accounts. To question the validity of the underlying assumptions, and to suggest and implement any necessary changes in order to strengthen the accounting information provided.
  • Line manage, coach and develop the financial accounting and accounts payable team. Proposing any training and development needs and any structure changes that align to business strategic priorities.
  • Management of the timetables to ensure all deadlines are met. Adapt timetables to reflect any changing requirements and ensure that all tasks are appropriately resourced.
  • Manage the preparation, review and submission of all reporting with the strict deadlines.
  • Manage the Company's cash flow on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Be responsible for the financial IT applications, lead systems development, reviews and optimisation within finance, be the system administrator
  • Review/maintain/upgrade the finance area of the intranet when appropriate.
  • Overall responsibility for the preparation and completion of the annual statutory accounts. Acting as key contact for both internal and external audits.
  • Manage the processes for the control of fixed assets, ensure the accuracy of the entries, ensure the valuations of newly completed products are correct and prepare the reconciliation to statutory accounts.
  • Supervise the preparation and reconciliation of payroll data supplied by HR for entry into Agresso and payment to employees.
  • Working with the Head of Finance and all members of Finance to coordinate, support and report on relevant matters, ensuring optimised efficiency, consistency of approach, and sharing of best practices.
  • Manage the company's banking and taxation arrangements.
  • Manage VAT reporting and submission of returns.
  • Verify payment runs.
