Teaching Personnel are currently working with a one form entry Primary school in Accrington who require an EYFS Teaching Assistant to cover a full Maternity from September 2019. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher to make the transition from Nursery to school as smooth as possible for the children. The class Teacher is in the process of completing the home/Nursery visits and they are expecting to have a 'challenging' cohort. They have two pupils coming into school with educational health care plans & a number of pupils coming in who aren't 'school ready'. The EYFS unit has excellent facilities, with a state of the art outdoor provision area. The teacher within the class is very experienced & has been in post for over 10 years. There will also be another full time TA who again is experienced within the early years.

The role will be working 5 days per week working from (Apply online only) and the expectation is that the successful candidates will continue on a long-term temporary contract. As with all supply roles, this is an excellent opportunity to get your 'foot in the door' of an established, high performing Accrington Primary School. The role will be either between 9 - 12 months. This school has used Teaching Personnel to source permanent staff.

It is essential that you have recent and prior experience working alongside children in Early Years Foundation Stage. Experience delivering either Read Write Inc. or Letters & Sounds Phonics would be desirable but not essential. Candidate's would need to be a level 3 TA due to there being a certain amount of covering the Reception class in the absence of the teacher for PPA & management time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
