INFORMATION MANAGER / ARCHITECT

12 MONTH CONTRACT

The role will help deliver a project to:
  • Gather requirements
  • Review existing repositories & develop a vision/strategy for integrated information management
  • Roll out a transformational change programme to move to new ways of working

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead stakeholder analysis and requirements capture, supported by a business analyst.
  • Review the state and effectiveness of existing data and information repositories and associated work flows (current state).
  • Plan and deliver a vision/strategy workshop to identify the optimal information architecture and data flows
  • Design and document a target information architecture for the client, considering organisation, navigation, search, labelling, etc.
  • Promote the new information architecture and get buy-in across the organisation from senior stakeholders to end users.
  • Roll out a transformational change programme to move to the new ways of working.
  • Develop information management strategy, policy, standards and guidelines to meet the current and future needs of the organisation.
  • Gather metrics and develop reports on the adoption and usage of the new information architecture and associated tools and processes.
  • Ensuring complete and effective capture of requirements, vision and state of current and future information management systems.
  • Ensuring that the new information architecture design is intuitive and usable and protects information confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Ensuring 'buy in' from all affected parties for the new information architecture and associated systems.
  • Successful completion of the organisational change programme.
  • Gaining approval to publish information management strategy, policy, standards and guidelines.
  • Effectiveness and efficiency of information management metrics and reports.

Desirable
  • Degree in a technical discipline, i.e. sciences, IT, engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Information Management qualification (or equivalent experience), e.g. Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA), Certified Information Professional (AIIM), with a proven track record of delivery.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the information management frameworks, standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience developing organisation wide information architectures.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing information management strategy, policy, standards and guidelines.
  • Development and use of information management metrics and reports
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and facilitation skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Successful delivery of organisational change programmes for information management.
