If so, a Graduate Cover Supervisor role is the perfect role for you to gain a year of experience!

The Senior Leadership Team within a successful and supportive Secondary School in Sudbury are looking to appoint a Graduate Cover Supervisor for the next academic year. The successful graduate must be a graduate who is confident and willing to dive straight into school life!

***Graduates specialising in Maths, Science and Technology are strongly encouraged to apply although applications are still being accepted for graduates with other degree specialisms
***Full-time role for the 2019-2020 academic year
***£65-£70 per day
***Must hold a 2:2 or higher in your degree!
***Opportunities to progress on to Teacher Training from September 2020
***Interviewing now for September 2019 start!

Being based in one school (no supply) will mean that you can build a rapport with students and staff whilst also getting a comprehensive understanding of school processes such as behaviour management and safeguarding.

As an Academic Cover Supervisor, you will find that no two days will be the same. You will find yourself supporting across the school and gaining experience in a variety of different subjects. The Cover Supervisor will have pre-planned lessons prepared for them by the class teacher and it will be their role to deliver to content in the absence of the teacher.

During the periods where cover is not needed, you will have the opportunity to spend time in your subject specialism, providing 1:1 intervention sessions to help enhance the students' understanding of that subject.

Gaining valuable classroom experience for an academic year will confirm your desire to become a qualified teacher. This Cover Supervisor will have the opportunity to explore the school's teacher training programme come September 2020.

This popular secondary school are interviewing now for a September 2019 start. Click 'apply' to send your CV to Matt Burgum at Edustaff.
