Work Control ManagerJob Description:We are currently recruiting for a Work Control Manager to join our growing team at our White Pigments manufacturing site at Greatham.As part of the ICON Operations team, you will lead and manage the work control elements through the planning, execution and review functions of completing work safely on site.In addition, your day to day duties will include;Establish and drive best in class work control processes and procedures for the area to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently at all timesDeliver and operate a fit for purpose professional work control facility in the areaEstablish competence and skills within the Permit to Work issuer and Acceptor groups on site to ensure compliance and correct interpretation of work control procedures and practices at all timesDevelop, implement, manage and control a reporting system including KPIs to ensure work control related standards and compliance levels are visible and managed.Coach and mentor all individuals on site who play an active role in the work control elements of the planning, execution and review phases of getting work done within the area.Authorize Job Safety Assessments, Permit to Work and work control documentation in line with defined risk-based authorization parametersCarry out extensive programme of engage and audit activities to highlight effectiveness of work control practices and procedures within the area.Assist operations and engineering teams to complete all work to the required standards, efficiently and effectively in and out of hours.Develop Standard work practices to deliver sustainable performance and continuous improvement in control of workWe are looking for a self-starter, someone who can operate on minimal guidance and broad direction from the Area Manager who will establish the targets for key areas of work.The suitable candidate with be qualified to a minimum of HND or equivalent in a science or engineering discipline or be qualified by extensive leadership experience of teams and individuals within a high hazard manufacturing environment.
