In your day-to-day role, you will be tasked with developing and expanding our portfolio of apps and sites. These are tools that have allowed hundreds of thousands of people find work globally over the last 15 years.

CareerBuilder:Pre-requisite skills
  • 4+ years' experience of developing enterprise scale applications in C#, JavaScript and DotNet.
  • 4+ years' experience of ASP.NET MVC, HTML and CSS.
  • Can produce smart, usable, responsive UX pages.
  • Can code at both the back end and front end in an N-tier environment.
  • Experience of using source control such as GitHub, etc.
  • An understanding of good coding practices, object oriented programming, use of common design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Use of JavaScript frameworks such as Bootstrap and Backbone.
  • Use of ORM technologies to call stored procedures.
  • Ability to work in a small team, independently, using design specifications.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment.
  • Take ownership of a feature from the original idea through to live.

·Develops the requested software features in a timely fashion.

As a web developer you must be ideas driven, analytical and enjoy attention to detail. What will be your day-to-day?
  • Conducts research and technology exploration as required to address any present or future projects.
  • Follows established development/testing procedures in order to achieve consistent software quality.
  • Work collaboratively with a global team of developers, team leads, and business analysts.
  • Progress changes through the full software development life cycle, from design to production release.

Additionally, whilst not essential, the following skills would be of benefit: -
  • Familiarity with Git, Atlassian Toolset (Confluence, Jira, Slack).
  • Experience of work collaboratively with team members based in multiple countries.
  • Experience of video Collaboration Tools (Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  • Experience of managing web servers (IIS).
  • Experience of stored procedures, views, functions for SQL Server.
  • Desire to grow as a developer and contribute to the company's success.
  • Skills in design, UI and UX.
  • Skills in Dev Ops, Continuous Build, Automated Deployment (TeamCity, Octopus Deploy).
  • Experience of designing and building RESTful APIs, Micro-services and .Net Core.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Search technologies (Elastic Search, SOLR).
  • Experience of Ruby on Rails.
  • Knowledge of Job Boards/Recruitment industry.
