Product Manager (Retention, CRM, Billing etc) - Leader in digital media:
  • 6-12 month initial contract (likely to role for some time).
  • London.
  • Circa £400+ per day (highly Negotiable).

The Company and Role:

Our client is one of the UK's most highly respected media organisations. As a Product Manager within Retention, you will be responsible for defining, delivering and maintaining digital products that retain our clients supporters globally and enable them to make the most of their subscription or contribution.

In this role you will use lean product methods to support and advance their strategy of building deeper and more meaningful relationships with users.

In the last three years the number of people supporting our client in this way has grown dramatically and now represents more than 180 countries.

Over the next three years, they aim to grow to 2 million supporters and need a scalable service infrastructure to meet this challenge. (Year one, investing in improving their print fulfillment, billing and proposition management. Year two, exploring how to optimise via improved online help centre, communication and prediction).

The product set includes self-serve functionality, billing systems, CRM and campaign management tools- serving a range of different ways readers can support them financially.

In your role, you will inspire, engage and collaborate with a range of colleagues across UX, Engineering, Editorial, Commercial, Data and Marketing.

You will work very closely with the Head of Retention and Directors for Contributions, Digital Subscriptions and Print, as well as leads in the US and Australia.

Key responsibilities Product Manager (Retention, CRM, Billing etc) - Leader in digital media:
  • Work with Retention leads to refine the problems they are trying to solve.
  • Define product requirements, solve problems in cost-efficient, tech feasible way.
  • Collaborate with engineers and understand complexities involved with development.
  • Own a backlog of tasks for both continuous delivery and discovery tracks.
  • Promote a standard of lightweight, usable documentation across the team.
  • Nurture customer-centric thinking, collaborating with UX and customer service.

Essential Skills & Exp for Product Manager (Retention, CRM, Billing etc)
  • Insight-driven product development.
  • Understanding of how to convert business strategy into a product strategy.
  • Scoping &prioritisation based on business, customer and technology requirements.
  • Leadership, planning & communication skills.

Highly Desirable Experience:
  • Experience working with CRMs such as Salesforce.
  • Experience working with customer call centres.
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure projects.
