Compliance Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to join a global company at their location in Ely. The role is for a Compliance Engineer reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Ely office is one of the company's Primary Sales Locations and is dedicated to designing and manufacturing high precision control systems and specialised products.

The role of Compliance Engineer is to ensure our clients products meet with international compliance requirements whilst maintaining their external accreditations. Duties / Responsibilities

Co-ordinate compliance related activities (MD, LVD, EMC) for the transfer of new products into production
Compile technical file information and produce CE Declaration of Conformity for release
Liaise with purchasers to maintain a database of compliance information for components
Ensure documentation is maintained following changes to products
To support Quality Assurance Manager with the maintenance of any accreditations
Create and maintain an audit programme to meet the requirements of external accreditations
Support development of team of auditors across the entity
Maintain record of other regulations affecting the entity and advise
Carry out audits as required and report findings
Support Calibration programme - ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated regularly and the results of this are recorded

Required experience and skills

Self-motivated to achieve
Excellent communications, planning and organisational skills
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Engineering degree or equivalent
Experience of implementing and maintaining ISO standards (9001/ 14001)
Experience of implementing an audit system
Good English skills and an ability to interpret international standards
Proficiency on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
Experience of working to the requirements of Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, EMC Directive
Experience of auditing to a standards framework

Location: Ely

Hours: Monday / Friday 8am - 4:30pm
