Payroll & Cost Management Leader

Based: Stockport, SK1
Permanent: Full-time

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll and Cost Management accountant to join our Finance Team where you will provide payroll services and cost management analysis and reporting for the Financial Director.You will be empowered to continually drive process improvements to enhance the quality of MI, ensuring all information is timely, accurate, insightful and readily accessible.

The Role:

The Payroll & Cost Management Leader role will work closely with the Personnel Manager and Finance Supervisor.

The role holder will be responsible for the Society's monthly payroll and benefits, which as an 'employer of choice', includes leading on all aspects of healthcare, pensions and death in service policies with internal and external contacts.

The role holder will also be responsible for embedding cost control throughout the Society by supporting managers to own and lead their own cost base by providing training and education alongside the production of cost MI, budgets and forecasts.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

A relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and/or equivalent practical experience in managing payroll and cost management is essential.

The successful applicant will also need to be organised, flexible and be able to quickly adapt to prioritise changing workloads and work to tight deadlines in a dynamic business environment.

The Package:
  • £28,000 per annum (flexible depending upon skills and experience)
