A leading global business services organisation based in the London/SE area are embarking on a challenging and highly complex restructuring programme, which includes a Finance Business Process Outsourcing project. Anthony Cole Associates are partnering with the business to source and hire a Service Transition Assistant Manager for the project team, on an initial 9 month contract basis with a view to longer term appointments for the right candidates.

The Service Transition Assistant Manager supports the Service Transition Manager in delivering the transition to the outsourced operation on behalf of the business. The jobholder supports the transfer of multiple services by waves from the business units and manages teams.

Objectives are:
  • Monitor and track against tasks within each transition tollgate
  • Support the delivery of a successful transfer of work from the company to the BPO provider
  • Work with the business and nominated Subject Matter Experts and Champions to track transition and service delivery risks
  • Act as a point of contact for the offshore delivery provider
  • Minimise disruption to ongoing business

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate due diligence/ data gathering activities with the BPO provider and the company business units
  • Support knowledge acquisition and knowledge transfer activities of agreed scope to project timelines and within constraints
  • Coordinate with the business, finance and site managers to secure resource, facilities and infrastructure availability
  • Support the Service Transition Manager and the Process Leads for each wave of transition
  • Track transition activities of the BPO provider, ensuring that risks and issues that affect the transition are mitigated
  • Co-ordinate all documentation relevant to the successful transition of processes to the 3rd party provider
  • Monitor transition tollgate progress and provide recommendations on proceeding

To be considered for this challenging opportunity, you will have a strong Finance and Project Management background having gained significant working knowledge specific process/ functional areas in P2P, O2C and R2R service transition to BPO organisations. You will have experience with other similar large-scale change/transformation programmes, within a similar BPO operating model and in large, highly complex businesses and you MUST be comfortable working in a fairly unstructured environment.
