The Junior IT Project Manager will aid the PMO Manager to ensure projects are completed on time, objectives are met, and that everyone involved is performing to the required standard. You'll oversee a large variety of IT projects and utilise defined methods to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the stakeholders involved are satisfied. You'll be trained to manage and deploy IT releases when necessary according to schedules set by the PMO office and the wider IT department.

Overseas travel and paid overtime may be required from time to time to help organise IT implementations/execute releases for IT.

Responsibilities (Projects)
  • Assisting the PMO office with work on multiple simultaneous projects (development, infrastructure based and implementation projects
  • Work with all areas of the department, including the Head of Business Systems, Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and support teams, whilst remaining objective regarding their responsibilities
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Ensuring project objectives are agreed with Business and IT stakeholders
  • Working with IT line managers to identify and allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are successful
  • Helping to organise the various teams and departments working on a project
  • Developing project/stage plans as required for each project and ensuring that they are shared with all members of the project team
  • Carrying out risk assessments and making sure quality standards are met
  • Ensuring representatives from the project team are present for all project meetings
  • Making sure that projects meet their success criteria, and all project documentation is completed
  • Identify and allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are successful
  • Liaising with project team members in order to obtain updates
  • Providing regular updates on project progress to all stakeholders and senior management
  • Perform post-project reviews and report to IT management

Responsibilities (Software Releases)
  • Provide roll-back plans, manage risks, and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality, escalating where necessary.
  • Coordinate the go-live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists

  • Degree level education (with at least a 2:1 grading)
  • An ability to organise themselves well whilst managing multiple projects
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and numeracy skills
  • An ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
  • Management and leadership skills alongside an ability to motivate others
  • Analytical ability
  • An ability to work well under pressure

  • Ability to speak fluent Spanish
  • Relevant (STEM-based) degree field
  • Work experience in a relevant field (e.g. Project Management, Product Management, Business Analysis).
  • Work experience in dealing with clients/stakeholders
  • Experience in delivery of projects (academic or commercial) with tight deadlines
