Tradewind recruitment are working with a supportive 'Good' school based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire looking for a Geography teacher to work the full academic year.

As a pragmatic and engaging teacher you will benefit from your own brand new classroom following a huge redevelopment in the school. The role will consist of teaching Geography across KS3 and 4, with KS5 being available should you have the desire and the subject knowledge. The schools current focus is on boosting literacy within KS3 so experience of teaching English, EAL or even working within a primary setting is beneficial.

The SLT have a clear and concise vision and direction for the school, behaviour in the school is good and they are supported by Governors who are focused on raising standards and have successfully, consistently narrowed the gap between disadvantaged pupils and others. Over the 5 years in his current role, the Head has lead his team to win several awards.

The school are looking for a teacher to take ownership of their classroom and pupils. Support is provided in abundance by the school who look to employ teachers with commitment and the desire to continue with the school's journey to outstanding. NQTs and overseas teachers are also encouraged to apply and accommodation can be provided for relocating teachers.

The school is located in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire on a huge green and pleasant site and has regular buses to the local station and parking for drivers.

You will need to hold a teaching qualification or relevant experience, have a stable CV covering at least 10 years work history and an optimistic and committed approach. Experience of teaching Geography is essential and applicants who can demonstrate experience or a good understanding of Literacy will also be at an advantage.
