As a specialist insurer in the student and young professional market, we believe it is important to maintain strong relationships between ourselves and providers in the education sector.

We have a dedicated field based team of Partnership Development Managers who focus on building and maintaining these relationships, and as a result, the Market Development Team work with over 300 partners, from Universities, Colleges, Private Accommodation Providers and Letting Agents (both student and professional agents). We provide contents insurance as part of their accommodation package through our Block Contents Scheme, and the team is focused on maintaining our market share in this sector, as well as rolling out new products and propositions.


We have an opportunity for a New Business Partnership Executive within the B2B Market Development Team. We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual with a passion for service and sales, outstanding communication skills and a confident, can-do attitude. You will be required to contact potential businesses, Universities or individual customers by phone to generate sales, new business appointments, and leads for our Partnership Development Managers.

You will be playing a key role in helping us achieve our growth plan. You will work as part of the team making outbound calls, and nurturing prospects to ensure we are ready to sell to them at the point they are ready to buy.

You will support customer acquisition by drafting and sending new business proposals, and supporting the research and drafting of University tender bids, so strong written skills are key to this role. You will also be responsible for collecting information and insight regarding current and potential new markets, and feeding requirements and opportunities into the business.

You will be tenacious and enthusiastic, highly motivated and driven, and someone who doesn't shy away from a challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and qualify prospective customers
  • Cold Calling leads sourced yourself, and warm leads provided by the company
  • Contact potential customers by phone to generate sales, new business appointments and leads
  • Deliver a strong elevator pitch to describe our products and services
  • Using effective questioning techniques to qualify leads
  • Draft and send new business proposals and support University tender bids
  • Collect information and insight regarding current and potential new markets, and feed into the business
  • Update in house systems and processes accurately
  • Data entry and maintenance of customer / potential customer databases
  • Maintain records of telephonic interactions, call backs and key decision makers
  • Ensure each appointment is well qualified and an opportunity for the Partnership Development Managers
  • Follow up campaigns and warm leads from events
  • Become an expert in our key markets
  • Demonstrate Endsleigh brand values and working culture

  • Demonstrate experience in working in a cold calling environment
  • Experience of working in telemarketing, telesales or lead and appointment generation roles
  • Knowledge of sales principles and methods
  • Able to demonstrate strong sales performance and a passion for exceeding targets
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Ability to question effectively in order to identify a client's needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to speak to senior managers and directors in both big and small organisations
  • Be able to convey personal credibility, creating instant impact
  • Have enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to think on your feet
  • Enjoy conversing on the telephone and the excitement of connecting with others
