Experian have an exciting opportunity for a Data Consultant to join the
Data Management team based in Nottingham. Data accuracy is of the most
importance to Experian and our clients. It is critical that we manage our data
to the highest standards to ensure that we can represent consumers accurately
and support a frictionless credit journey for consumers and businesses. Our
Data Consultants are responsible for on-boarding new data, as well as
supporting our suppliers in the on-going management of that data. This includes
monitoring and consulting on data quality improvements, managing project work
for clients, advising on data queries from our clients and internal
stakeholders, and supporting internal data development projects.As a subject matter expert you will get
involved in internal and external projects that have a direct impact on our
client's ability to make informed decisions, and the way consumers are
represented to financial and other industries. As such, the successful
applicant will demonstrate excellent data and project management skills,
an eye for detail, and be an excellent communicator.Key Responsibilities
Fulfil the internal and external data expert role:Understand the data usage within Experian and within the
client domainSpecify and test changes to the data capture,
maintenance and storage within the bureauConsult on data production for clients and software
suppliersAdvise on new developments and methodologies to be
usedDefine, document and manage the load of new data
assetsCo-ordinate and manage new and existing
data suppliers:Be the direct point of contact for data suppliers on
all data matters, including, from time to time, on site visits to support
clients.Provide analysis and consultation on data quality
issues for clients, and manage projects for changes to data supply and data
quality from conception to completionProduce management information from time to time as
required by the Head of Data or other stakeholders within the business,
particular on data quality, client and prospect on-boarding progress, project
progressLiaise with our technical partner to ensure all
project work is scheduled appropriatelySet-up data maintenance processes, with particular
focus on ensuring compliant processing of dataDevelop supporting / go to market materials
descriptions, documentation, etc.Support the team:Provide continuity and support to the Go to Market and
wider Consumer Information team on data queries and projectsSkill RequirementsEssential:Degree or equivalent standardExcellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc)Experience of risk management products working in a financial services environment.Able to interpret technical features into commercial benefitsExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsDesirable:Strong relationship management skillsExcellent planning and organising capabilitiesCommercially astuteGood decision making capabilityExperience of leading small to medium sized projects within a large complex organisationClient facing problem solving experienceGood understanding of CAIS data, and its uses within Experian productsData management and processing experienceExperience supporting a demanding sales teamWhy choose us?Our colleagues' health and wellbeing is a top
