This role is for a workplace Deployment Project Manager to deliver Windows 10 and O365 solutions.

Title - Deployment Project Manager

Location - Barnsley

Duration - 3 months +

Rates - £450/£500

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Data Analysis, coordinating and managing the end user analysis, full end to end T-minus process, logistics and final migration and deployment to the users onto the new technologies to be used within Interserve.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate awareness and previous knowledge of the following:
  • Day to day coordination of deployment activities including user analysis, device assessment and peripheral analysis
  • Active stakeholder management to ensure awareness of deployment schedule
  • Manage a deployment function and co-ordinate education and training activities to ensure a successful migration experience
  • Full end to end Deployment life-cycle management
  • Full understanding and management of T-minus process and go/no go checklists
  • Ensuring all dates are met and monitored
  • Coordinate with all task/milestone owners to ensure the programme is kept on track
  • Attend and participate the deployment project CAB regarding any scheduled date changes
  • Work closely with site champions/end user to ensure the journey and agreed expectation are met
  • Maintain and manage the RAID logs for their areas of responsibility
  • Managing the deployment of desktops and mobile devices for users across multiple sites
  • Manage the development of the user and stakeholder communications
  • Manage the circulation of communications
  • Attend and lead any go/no go decisions regarding their divisions/elements/sites
  • Maintain and address any remedial action
  • Ensure that rigorous documentation is maintained throughout
  • Ensure successful asset management of existing and newly deployed devices
  • Ensure end-user sign off is obtained post deployment
  • Manage and implement continuous improvement through lesson learnt
  • Ensure successful handover to the Early Life Support teams
  • To liaise closely with the Applications work stream lead to ensure readiness for migration and deployment
  • Project Change Management experience

The successful candidate should have the following qualities:
  • Will have managed 3 or more Windows deployment/migration projects
  • Qualified in a Project Management qualification (Prince2/Agile)
  • Be able to demonstrate working with similar IT projects using best practice Project Management methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Evidence experience working with external clients and managing divisions within a company
  • Experience of working within a technical programme environment
  • Experience of delivering challenging projects in complex enterprises
  • Strong skills in MS products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Project and Visio
  • Excellent experience in managing Hardware deployments from a replace/rebuild and refurbishment approach
  • Excellent experience in managing end-user migrations included but not limited to, Mailbox and data migration, Applications and Shared Mailboxes
  • Proven experience of managing a large scale deployment with a user base greater than 3k
  • Proven experience in working in a fast pace environment
  • Experience of implementing processes for deployment
  • Be self-motivated and able think creatively
  • Be able to drive change through following the required governance
  • Drive for continuous improvement
  • Good team management skills
