An opportunity now exists for an Application Development Manager to head up their Application Development Teams based in Nottingham in high profile role.

The role will be based at our client's smart offices in a stunning central location, where they design state of the art world leading software products.

This role ideally suits someone from a technical / developer background with strong experience in Agile Software delivery and releases, as well as an appetite for leading and developing technical teams and streamlining processes.

As the Application Development Manager, your teams will be responsible for the 'front-line' delivery of world beating software products for the aerospace, motorsport and defence sectors.

This challenging role provides an excellent opportunity to achieve career progression and shape teams in a forward-thinking environment.

What we're looking for:
  • Demonstrable leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of agile methods for development & project management
  • Experience of Test-Driven Development
  • Experience of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Minimum of 4 years industrial development experience in a modern OO programming language (Python, C++, C# or Java)
  • Experience of databases (SQL or Nosql)

It would also be beneficial if you had experience of working with offshore or nearshore teams, web development, cloud web deployment (e.g. Docker, Azure, AWS) and some UI/UX experience (preferable).

We would also like to hear from candidates who have a degree in Computer-Science, in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)/Technical or Scientific software and 'Certified Agile.'
