This is an important role in that it is both the final 'gate' on outbound shipments where any last-minute errors can be caught before shipment to our customers, and where inbound goods are checked to ensure that the correct items have been received.

The role is to assist in the processing of outbound and inbound shipments, in equal measure, in an accurate and timely manner with attention to details to ensure that the correct goods are both packed for despatch and received ready for putting away within the manufacturing cell.


• Ensure that all Customer orders are correctly and accurately picked, packed and despatched, i.e. item number, quantity, Country of Origin, serial numbers, labelling etc., in accordance with the Promise Date Service Level (PDSL) for all customer orders
• Ensuring goods and packaging are of satisfactory quality before shipment
• Liaise with Shipping, Operations and Order Administration departments to ensure effective administration of warehouse despatch and other related activities.
• Work with the warehouse Team Leader in maximising the productivity of the warehouse
• Work with the Logistics and Compliance Manager to introduce and maintain metrics and performance indicators to identify the measure of on-time deliveries out of Finished Goods (FG)
• Work with the Logistics and Compliance Manager to ensure that all processes and Work Instructions are updated and amended as appropriate
• Identify areas of improvement and refer them to the Team Leader / Logistics and Compliance Manager

• Accurately signing for all incoming deliveries
• Accurately check all incoming stock for shortages and damage and report accordingly
• Booking in purchased item deliveries into the Oracle ERP system
• Ensure all stock is stored in the correct place, and any parts without a bin location are put away and a location added to Oracle
• Ensure all stock is handled in a way as to minimise the risk of damage while in stock or during delivery to our internal customers.
• To ensure all returns entering the factory are checked taking care to make sure that the part returned reflects what is on the collection note, i.e. warranty and damaged returned shipments.
• Ensure company Ethics and Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to
• Ensure all company policies are adhered to
• Work with the team to ensure cost effective management of the warehouse
• Ensure all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company's Trade Compliance and quality procedures and to escalate any concerns or questions to the Logistics and Compliance Manager.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment
• Assist in annual and ad hoc stock takes and inventory checks
• Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably requested.
• To act in accordance with all International Trade Compliance regulations

• Computer literate (essential); MS Word, Excel and Outlook (e-mail is an essential communications tool). Oracle would be an advantage
• Numerate and literate
• Hold a valid Counterbalance / Reach FLT License
• Flexibility in working hours - some overtime may be required
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Physically fit - this is a manual role
