Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Sudbury

Edustaff are looking to speak with recent graduates who are considering a career as a Primary Teacher and want to gain classroom experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant first!

This role will help you to gain some valuable experience to support your Teacher Training applications. It will also help you to ensure that teaching is definitely the right career for you before formally applying!

This Graduate TA role is a really exciting role and will involve you getting fully involved in day-to-day life at the school. A proactive, confident and enthusiastic personality is required as well as the desire to want to make a positive impact each and every day.

About the Graduate TA role:

***Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant position in Sudbury
***Supportive staff who love training and nurturing Graduate Teaching Assistants
***Excellent training available through the wider school trust
***Graduate TA role starting September 2019 (earlier starts are available)
***£65 per day
***Graduate TA role can lead on to Teacher Training from September 2020

The Graduate TA role will involve supporting children's learning, preparing resources, assisting the class teacher and undertaking playground duties. The Graduate TA role will also involve you planning and delivering small intervention sessions based around your key strengths. This could involve Phonics, Literacy, Maths or Science.

For those Graduates who feel confident supporting children with behaviour difficulties or working with pupils with SEN, there will be opportunities to develop and implement strategies on a 1:1 and small group basis. This also applies to working with children who do not speak English as their first language (EAL).

We are looking to hear from talented Graduates who want to be a part of transforming education in Sudbury and who can inspire and motivate the next generation. Previous experience working in a child-focused role is desirable however exceptional candidates without previous experience will also be considered.
