We have a fantastic new role for an Office Manager in non-profit organisation based in Syston, you will be working within a small office where you will be dealing with varied situations day-to-day. This role is set to challenge and inspire the right candidate, they are looking for someone who is passionate and seeking a rewarding career. The working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with a 30-minute lunch.

To be accepted for this role as a Office Manager you will need a clean UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities:
  • To manage the day to day running of the centre office this includes opening and closing the centre office each day, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch.
  • To deal with all general administration related to the core business of the charity and the centre.
  • Manage both staff and volunteers to include conducting personnel duties and training as required in liaison with the trustee responsible for personnel.
  • Managerial duties including writing bids for contract, writing reports for the Board of Trustees and presenting these at the monthly meetings, attending external meetings as required.
  • Implementing policies
  • Updating policies such as health and safety, safe guarding etc in line with up to date legislation, keeping up to date with transport legislation. Maintaining links with other charities and the Charity Commission.
  • To update the charity's website and other online media. Monitor software and utilities to ensure the smooth running of the centre.
  • Financial duties to include daily recording of members payments for services, produce monthly invoices and provide information as required by the Trustee Treasurer responsible for the financial status of the charity.
  • To deliver good customer service.

To be successful for this role you will need;
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent English and Maths
  • To be able to plan and prioritise workload
  • Experience of Managing in an office environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • To be able to delegate and support centre staff and volunteers
  • A clean driving license, post holder must have 'D1'
  • Willing to undertake a MiDAS certificate
  • Be prepared to drive all vehicles held by the volunteer centre
  • An enhanced DBS is a requirement for this post
