Corporate Engagement Manager - Charity - Newcastle - £40k pro-rata - 5 month contract - Office or Home based

We are currently working with a charity that is launching a large event within different cities throughout the UK and globally. The charity is working very closely with various other charities and has a lot of support and leads with the local businesses in Newcastle and surrounding areas. The charity already have a lot of high-profile guests in place for the event and The Corporate Engagement Manager will be well integrated into the fundraising team, and will work alongside the corporate fundraising team to manage existing relationships, and build new relationships. You'll be working alongside passionate colleagues and in a rewarding environment, as well as the local authority who are sponsoring the event, where you'll be able to see the difference your work makes to the lives of these vulnerable people every day.

Ideally, you will already work in the third sector within a fundraising capacity for a charity. However, we are also keen to speak with senior Business Development Managers. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the vulnerable people in Newcastle.


* £40,000 pro-rata (will also be able to consider freelance if preferred)

* 5 month contract, Immediate, full-time

* Can be office based in Newcastle, or homebased in or around the area

* Will report into someone once or twice a week but there is a lot of support and leads


* Initiate discussions and secure corporate partnerships from cold to agreed income targets, focusing on partnerships with a value of around £5000

* Identify and develop international opportunities for the charity and prepare approach plans

* Secure relevant meetings with companies across a range of sectors

* Develop proposals and presentations for prospective partners

* Lead meetings with a range of corporate contacts

* Attend networking events to generate fundraising leads

* Develop and lead engagement plans for Newcastle to reach senior decision makers and high net worth individuals

* Liaise with Event Manager and various stakeholders to identify sponsorship opportunities

* Working alongside the Head of Event Engagement to achieve target for Newcastle

* Identify opportunities which will feed into the overall strategy

* Present sales, revenue, and forecasts weekly to the Head of Event Engagement


* Minimum 5 years Business Development or Corporate Fundraising experience is essential for this role

* Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility / Charitable giving programme is desirable

* A strong interest to work in the third sector and passionate about making change

* Access to a network of senior leaders and High Net Worth Individuals

* Highly motivated to work remotely whilst keeping in close contact with the Head of Event Engagement based at Head Office

* Experience of strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting

* Confident presenting

* Ability to operate and negotiate with confidence at a senior level

* Proven track record of winning, negotiating, and delivering new business partnerships
