Yell are actively recruiting for a strategic SEO leader to join our head office based in Reading. The SEO Manager will manage one of our key assets, the website by driving traffic through effective SEO. The SEO Manager will be experienced in handling complex technical and strategic SEO challenges in order to drive traffic growth and want to be involved in the growth that Yell is experiencing across our digital portfolio. You'll be a self-starter, owning your own work load, compassionate about what needs to be fixed and not being afraid to get involved in the implementation yourself.

The role
  • You'll have full ownership of the website traffic and analytics.
  • Be responsible for the coordination of content Management - Website/Mobile Content Curation (content upload, tagging, SEO advice, SEO Metadata Entry).
  • Providing integration support for 3rd party campaigns and advertising or affiliate links.
  • Experience of Web Analytics would be an advantage (Configuration of Adobe Analytics or other tracking tools, monitoring, reporting, analysing results, identifying customer journeys).
  • Reporting on effectiveness of SEO and identification of problem areas that may affect search engine rankings.
  • Reporting against specific campaigns (impressions, click-through, etc.).

The person
  • A successful track record within SEO Management with an agency or in-house.
  • Significant experience working on large scale, complex & dynamic websites. is not like your average site!
  • Experience dealing with Senior Stakeholders and communicating action plans & roadmaps.
  • Demonstrable success in SEO planning and understanding of SEO best practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO tools for auditing, rankings, research (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Majestic SEO etc.).
  • A good understanding of web development code HTML, CSS, front end scripting (e.g. JavaScript), server technologies and application frameworks would be an advantage.
  • Full understanding of digital marketing channels, including PPC.
  • A creative thinker, who is up to date with the latest SEO trends.
  • An analytical person, who can regularly report on performance against KPI's to a senior audience.
  • An outstanding communicator, confident speaking or writing.
  • Passionate to make a real difference.
