The CCS product portfolio consists of a broad range of chromatography consumables spanning sample handling (vials and closures), sample prep, and LC/GC columns and accessories.The Marketing Director will collaborate with a broader cross functional team of R&D, Sales, Channel, Marcom, and Operations as well as with CMD Regional Marketing teams and Business Units- particularly HPLC, GC, LSMS and IC/SP.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Lead the development and execution of the strategic marketing road-map and activities supporting the overall business growth strategy for CCS.Lead the annual STRAP process, developing plans with the CCS leadership team consistent with BU objectives to the world leader in Chromatography consumables and valued business partner to the CMD instruments teams.Collaborate with (eBusiness and IT) teams, across the organization, in development and adoption of technology to enable, support and enhance digital marketing platform and programs to drive web based revenue to 50%+ of overall channel revenue.Drive the overall marketing strategy including pricing, positioning, promotion, product road-maps, forecasting and distribution/channel strategy.Ensure products meet needs of different channels and that channel conflict is minimized through differentiation and positioning.Drive and reach portfolio revenue, EBITA, and marketing KPI targets as mutually established with the business.Partner with the business cross-functional teams to develop, execute and measure integrated marketing campaigns, aligned with business goals and engaging our customers in loyal and satisfying relationshipsIncreases global field launch effectiveness through implementing management processes that create much tighter alignment between product management, marketing and commercial leadership.Provide critical insights and recommendations, based on external and internal bench-marking that define business and market development initiatives and drive a sustainable competitive advantage.Establish and lead product management strategy and activities, collaborates with R&D, Marcom, Sales and Operations people to develop and release highly successful new products.Drive product life cycle, portfolio and product rationalization strategy, OEM partnership selection and technology development road-map for future investments linked to market driven customer needs.Work across the HPCS, CMD and Thermo Fisher Scientific to develop and promote opportunities for cross selling, joint R&D opportunities and co-marketing efforts specifically with the various instrument groups within the company.Manage the marketing budget to meet business unit targets.HOW YOU WILL GET THERE: BS degree required; Biology, Chemistry or Engineering degree preferredAdvanced degree (e.g. MS, PhD, MBA) a plusMinimum of 10 years of experience in the analytical instrument and/or laboratory industry with heavy emphasis on chromatography and separation sciences and/or consumables.Experience in leading international teams with remote employees and managing in a highly matrixed organizationProven Leadership ability working effectively across functions.Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact.Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.Demonstrates Thermo Fisher Values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, InvolvementAbility to travel of approximately 25-30% of time including International travel.
