My client, a well reputable healthcare regulator in the West End are currently looking for a Finance Officer to add further value to their Finance department. This role is a temporary position to Fix term contract with the potential to go permanent.

The main purpose of the role is to a provide a high level of service to internal and external customers, looking after; payment, payroll, income and procurement as appropriate.

Main duties will include:
  • Processing supplier invoices through logging, matching and payment to ensure prompt and accurate settlement
  • Perform bank reconciliations daily and follow up and clear reconciling items promptly
  • Online banking transactions (e.g. BACS payments, direct debit processing)
  • Raising manual transactions
  • Resolving any banking related queries
  • Provide a high level of Customer Service
  • Respond to and resolve supplier queries
  • Ensure that expenditure authorisation is appropriate
  • Maintain knowledge of general ledger account coding
  • Perform month-end closure processes and journals accurately and to adhere to required timescales
  • Process tax letters to registrants
  • Always Keep the financial process manuals and process flowcharts up to date
  • Support the proper use of procurement and finance systems across their organisation via staff communication and training

Must haves:
  • Previous finance background
  • Excellent Numerical Skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Great in IT skills
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in processing invoices
