Ensure prompt and accurate payments of employees, pensioners and external customers.

Develop and maintain up-to-date expertise and knowledge of relevant payroll matters ensuring that this is disseminated through the transactional teams.

Provide & ensure the provision of high quality and consistent advice, support and process management in a cost effective and efficient way that positively impacts customer efficiency and confidence.

Participate in audits of payments information to ensure that Council staff comply with payments policies, procedures and legislation.

Liaise with other Transactional Service staff to ensure the accuracy and validity of the data being submitted.

Provide reports and information to deliver business intelligence in oneSource.

Ensure that payments made through Council systems are made and validated in accordance with policies, procedures and legislation.

Liaise and support external bodies to achieve agreed outcomes.

Meet transactional processing deadlines as part of achieving Service Level and Operating Level Agreements.
