The Company:

Eileen Richards Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a boutique accountancy practice based in Leicester.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Preparing Accounts and associated paperwork (unincorporated businesses and companies)
  • Preparing Statutory paperwork for companies
  • Occasionally preparing Management Accounts, as required
  • Preparing Business Tax Computations and Partnership Returns
  • Preparing Corporation Tax Computations and Returns
  • Preparing Personal Tax Computations and Personal Tax Returns
  • Preparing P11D returns
  • Interrogation of client records
  • Workload, timesheet and invoices
  • Assisting with Audit assignments if required (this would only be a small part of the role, and only if the business need arises)
  • Corresponding with clients both verbally and in writing in relation to accounts and taxation issues
  • Communicating effectively with Managers and Directors
  • Planning and organising your workload
  • Keeping practice management systems up to date for all jobs that you are working on and client details in general
  • Using your own judgement to identify ways to improve job approach if needed
  • Identifying and suggesting improvements to clients systems where appropriate
  • Highlighting any areas that you feel you need additional training in to the HR department - both during the appraisal process and at any other time that it is necessary
  • Ensuring that Client Confidentiality is maintained at all times including compliance with GDPR
  • Complying with Health and Safety requirements as per the company Health and Safety Manual

About You
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Packages, IRIS, Xero and Sage Accounts.
  • Experience with document management using Virtual Cabinet
  • Education Level: Ideally AAT Level or QBE.
  • Work effectively as part of a team & communicate efficiently with others.
  • Manage your allocated work, prioritise & operate in an organised method with great attention to detail.
  • Experience & knowledge of VAT.
