We are delighted to be recruiting a Assistant Claims Handler for a well established and highly reputable insurer based in Ipswich. The purpose of the role is to assist the Claims Team Leader in handing and settling motor and property claims. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of processing motor and/or property claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysing details of claims and confirming if they are covered
  • Involvement in making recommendations for the settlement of claims
  • Processing payments for claims
  • Updating client files with actions made and relevant documentation
  • Regular contact with stakeholders to keep them updated on claims
  • Audit claims handled in house or via claims settling agencies

Key Skills
  • Experience within property claims is essential
  • A knowledge of motor claims is desirable
  • Cert/ Dip CII qualified
  • A understanding of underwriting is essential
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
