Huws Gray has an exciting opportunity not to be missed! We are currently looking for a Showroom Sales Manager to join our team based in Newport. You will join us on a full time basis and in return will receive a competitive basic salary plus great benefits.

Huws Gray are a fast-growing company and since our formation in 1990, we have developed from a single branch in Anglesey to one of the UK's largest independent Builders Merchants in terms of branches with over 880 staff. Including our Head Office in Anglesey we currently have over 70 branches stretching from Hay-on-Wye in Herefordshire up to Penrith in Cumbria and across to Derby in the Midlands.

Following on from the recent acquisition of the Cambridge based Ridgeons Group, Huws Gray have now expanded their brand to the South East of England, making Huws Gray the UK's largest independent Builders Merchant employing in total over 1800 staff.

Your key responsibilities as our Showroom Sales Manager will include:

- Assisting the branch to achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets

- Effectively communicating, motivating, allocating and delegating tasks and responsibilities throughout the showroom

- Effectively managing all showroom resources

- Prioritising and then dealing with all issues that arise within the showroom

- Ensuring that the showroom achieves and exceeds monthly and annual target

- Exceeding our customers' expectations by dealing with them professionally and courteously, by telephone, e-mail or face-to-face in the showroom

- Assisting showroom customers by assessing their needs and providing them with accurate and professional design and technical advice

- Understanding margins and costs

- Ensuring that the showroom implements company procedures effectively

- Maintaining and developing sales leads and Following up sales enquiries and quotations

- Ensuring a high standard of after-sales support

- Continually developing and updating your product knowledge

- Developing excellent relationships with our suppliers

To fit the Showroom Sales Manager role you will need to be:

- A sales generator rather than just an order-taker

- An excellent team player who can also work on your own initiative

- A cool-headed multi-tasker who is able to work to a schedule

- Reliable, efficient and flexible

- A good communicator with a sense of humour

- Approachable, positive, polite and well-presented

- Motivated, energetic and passionate about your work

- Able to show an aptitude for computer-aided kitchen and bathroom design
