The Company:

My client has reshaped their internal applications team and is now focusing toward Business Change and Delivery. Their team is focused on delivering a range of projects supporting internal business systems, applications and business processes. These projects are aimed at providing large scale efficiencies, and are vital to improved performance and delivery across their operations. As part of the team you will contribute to the collective ability to combine information and common sense to efficiently translate ideas into decisions, and then into actions.

Investment in these systems and supporting infrastructure represents over £4million in investment, and there is over 5 years of work planned as part of their road-map. There are several ongoing and planned projects around system implementation and process improvement which cover new implementations, upgrades and data migrations depending on the area of the business and the system.

Along with the already identified projects, we are keen to speak to people who will bring fresh ideas to the team, and consider novel solutions and ideas. As well as a focus on new projects, the team also will look to provide continuous improvement projects further on in the life cycle of both new and existing business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be involved in delivering a consistent, clear and detailed set of business requirements for departmental projects and programmes, analysing key processes and producing clear, accurate, agreed analysis.

The successful candidate will be expected to drive a variety of initiatives to further improve operational efficiencies and data accuracy they will also have a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Working very closely with in-house IT Business Services, Support and Infrastructure teams, you will be a capable self-starter, able to work on their own initiative, and able to drive projects and targets forward in a timely manner.

You will provide operational and technical guidance to the users of the business applications to ensure that the business benefits of the application continue to be achieved throughout its lifetime. To achieve this you will be required to become an expert on the business applications to ensure that external vendor support and input is reduced to a minimum which in turn will help reduce external costs.
