Four Seasons Health Care are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant. Working as a key part of the finance team you will facilitate the production of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and review.

The role requires a flexible approach as hours will vary to reflect the work patterns and needs of the business.

So as an Assistant Management Accountant what do you need to do to make this happen?

The prime responsibility of the post is to assist with production of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and review.

Key Tasks


  • Income - Periodic Fee reconciliation's including income adjustments.
  • Payroll - Update and review of various payroll, adjustment/accrual/prepayment spreadsheets. Detailed review of payroll costs to maintain the accuracy of the management accounts.
  • Expense - Review nominal codes and process any journals required to ensure the accuracy of the accounting process; including, but not limited to accruals, prepayments, petty cash transactions and year-end adjustments.
  • Management Account commentary preparation.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations - production, review and follow up of any queries to maintain accurate financial position.
  • Ensure professional and accurate information is communicated to both internal and external sources, within agreed time frames.
Job Requirements
In order to achieve this our Assistant Management Accountants should have:
  • An understanding of Management Accounts preparation and interpretation. The ability to analyse problems and propose solutions and the drive to consistently deliver a market leading service. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential as is the ability to develop credible internal and external business relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism. Previous experience of working in a high volume department and worked across a large multi-site business.
  • It is essential that an Assistant Management Accountant be self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects/tasks set as well as being enthusiastic and able to maintain a positive mental attitude within a team environment. Confidence in delivery against agreed objectives and deadlines is also essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be numerate and literate with an ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and be able to effectively use IT and communication systems required for the role.

AAT qualification would be desirable but not essential.
