Infrastructure Programme ManagerIf you're a dynamic IT Change professional looking for the next step in your career, this job could be an outstanding opportunity.Aviva's Global Hosting Change function provides change delivery capability for the company's hosted IT infrastructure and needs an Infrastructure Programme Manager to help deliver major projects. It's a busy department that delivers multiple programmes including infrastructure transformation, technology refresh and data centre consolidation.You will join and lead an expert team of Project/Delivery Managers who work closely with Aviva's hosting partners as well as internal and outsourced application teams in matrix-managed programmes of work.It's the perfect role for a proactive individual who thrives on the challenges presented by strategic infrastructure projects. You will hold overall accountability for successfully executing projects of various complexities across different technologies, parts of the business, locations and third-party partners.Roles and Responsibilities Design, plan, coordinate and lead the technical programme and assigned delivery team to deliver projects according to success factors and set goals.Handle the day-to-day management of the programme including executive reporting, risk & issue management, resourcing, critical issues and engagement with internal and external partners.Work in partnership with leadership teams to agree a portfolio of infrastructure change.Craft and deliver a complex portfolio of technical deliveries to exacting quality, cost and time parameters.Drive and support ongoing compliance to IT standards across delivered infrastructure services.Manage and track budgets, provide an ongoing challenge around scope and submit changes to the budget authorisation process as required.Identify and source the required resources (either external or internal) as well as monitoring and managing their performance throughout the project, providing corrective supervision if necessary.Protecting the customer experience through strong change management discipline and adherence to security standards.Ensuring Aviva's standard methodology for change is applied across all deliveries.Supporting the Senior IT Infrastructure Leadership Team with the development of annual business plans.Skills and ExperienceIf the following attributes apply to you, we would love to know!Experience in large scale infrastructure delivery (involving mainframes, mid-range servers and Windows).Significant exposure to managing programmes and budgets up to £5 million and previous experience delivering complex infrastructure projects/programmes.Strong leadership skills and confidence when working with virtual teams.A track record of managing third parties and multi-vendor teams across multiple project activities.Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.An inspirational people manager who is comfortable leading and developing teams of up to 10 staff.What will you get for this role?Annual salary of £55,000 - £75,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications.Generous defined contribution pension scheme.Annual performance related bonus and pay review.Holiday allowance of 29 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days.Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products through "My Aviva Extras" plus discounts for Friends and Family.Excellent range of flexible benefits to include a matching share save scheme.We care about the wellbeing of our employeesHow you feel at home, work and all aspects of your life are important to us.
