Up to £39,617.26 including shift allowance (this will increase depending on rolling stock experience)

THE COMPANY

You could get the opportunity of a lifetime to work for this Global Engineering and Technology business. Their UK operation is currently developing, and you can be apart of the Organisation from the very beginning. There will be start-up operations across the UK & NI including vast manufacturing facility here in the UK.

The company have secured a number of high profile orders with full life-cycle maintenance contracts to manufacture and maintain brand new trains and as a result, will look to increase their headcount to meet the demands of these contracts.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be an experienced Electrical Technician with an great level of fault diagnosis and root cause analysis expertise, to ensure these New Trains have the reliability expected by the customers. You will have exceptional eye for detail, as you'll be responsible for signing the train off, to say they are safe to go back into service. We are looking for experienced electrical bias technicians from the ex forces and experienced rolling stock technicians!

ABOUT THE JOB

This role will require candidates to work shifts on a 24/7 basis, repairing and maintaining Electrical and Mechanical Systems on trains, such as Diesel Engines, Transmissions, HVAC, Traction Control, Brake Systems, doors, pneumatic equipment, and auxiliary equipment, HV circuits, refrigeration equipment, motors, circuit breakers, relays, transformers and insulators. Due to the safety critical environment of the role, you must adhere to H&S guidelines at all times.

THE REQUIREMENTS
  • Educated to NVQ 3 within an engineering discipline
  • Fault Diagnosis experience
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams

THE SALARY

Salary up to £ + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + BH
