Our client is a fresh, innovative and exciting blue chip FTSE 250 FMCG business with an enviable brand portfolio and ambitious growth plans. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and successful Assistant Brand Manager to join their current talent pool and to work on one of their core brands.

The key remit of the role is to develop, implement and continually review long term strategy and ongoing performance of your designated brand in support of a Senior Brand Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic development of the product portfolio.
  • Strategic development, budget control and implementation of ongoing PR, website and educational initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of the external environment, (including competitive set) consumer behaviour and the brands target market.
  • Maintain and develop a pipeline of ideas for brand development to improve in market competitiveness. Ideas based on insight about the external environment (consumer, customer or competitor).
  • Comply with legal and company requirements
  • Maintain an up to date record of training and development ensuring full participation in performance review processes
  • Demonstrate with colleagues, clients and suppliers habitual behaviour consistent with business values.

The ideal candidate will already be operating successfully in an FMCG setting with proven commercial success across all areas of the marketing mix including strategic planning, performance monitoring, marcomms development and NPD. Experience of implementing digital and PR campaigns will be an advantage. You must be highly numerate with an ability to influence at all levels.
