VP MarketingLocation: London, Houston or NY Reporting to: Chief Commercial OfficerJob Grade: 15 (for internal purposes only)The Role: The VP of Marketing leads the team that plans and executes Marketing and Customer Experience activities, aligned to the financial and strategic objectives of the busines• Including; Marketing strategy, customer experience strategy, Sales and product alignment, partnership Marketing, budget management and tracking return on Marketing investment. Plus partnering with Commercial OperationsJob Summary: The Marketing VP should have considerable senior leadership experience in Marketing management; thorough knowledge of Marketing principles, product or service management, demand creation/business development, events and brand management across all media; and a demonstrated track record of success and performance. This senior leadership position requires the ability to understand changing market dynamics, translate them into actionable strategy and implement the strategy to achieve objectives in the Marketing plan.Principal Accountabilities• Develop Marketing strategy, aligned to Platts business strategy• Lead, inspire, engage and develop a global team of 78 specialist Marketers and Customer Experience professionals to deliver against business goals• Responsible for S&P Global Platts brand; reputation and awareness development for S&P Global Platts, ensuring alignment and interlock with other S&P Global brands • Stakeholder influencer management, to ensure all Platts functional groups are aligned to a defined go-to-market strategy, and that the Marketing team are executing to support Content, Product and Sales teams priorities• Creation of the Demand Generation strategy for new logo generation, in support of Commercial's Hunter business strategy and revenue goals• Create a Customer Marketing strategy, to demonstrate value to existing clients as well as the identification of potential up and cross sell opportunities within accounts• Partner with the Head of Channels in the creation and execution of a global partner Marketing strategy, in support of revenue targets• Customer and market messaging and collateral creation for compelling market engagement, including Sales enablement in line with the PRG Sales methodology• Definition of the global event strategy to enable the business to connect with customers and market participants through free and Conferences, and aligned to a defined event experience strategy• Partner with Commercial Operations to define the Marketing technology, data and report strategy, to ensure Marketing has the right tools and systems in place to support functional needs• Partner with Corporate Marketing and Divisional Marketing VPs to ensure Marketing alignment across the wider business• Lead the Customer Experience strategy and execution, including the alignment of the wider organization to execute against identified customer prioritiesSkills:• Demonstrable ability to understand and communicate company's performance goals and strategic initiatives, and translating those into Marketing Vision and Strategy• Customer and market-driven orientation, including previous implementation of Customer Experience strategies and programs• Translation of strategy to execution and results, in line with business objectives• Organizationally savvy and able to effectively navigate matrix organization.
