You will be responsible for driving compliance in all aspects and levels of business.Who we are looking for...You will be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. You are a professional of high ethical standards with a constant eye on the objectives of the business. You are comfortable saying "no" when necessary and are highly results-oriented. You are highly pragmatic in approach, and thrive within a fast-paced and constantly changing scale-up environment. What you will do...Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policiesEvaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuouslyRevise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issuesDraft, modify and implement company policiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor enforcement of standards and regulationsAssess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risksReview the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or trainingKeep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance controlPrepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriateRequirementsWhat you will bring...Proven experience as compliance managerExperience within a payments/finance businessA pragmatic mind and a creative problem solverAble to manage upwards and advise senior stakeholders on the best course of actionExperience of AML and merchant onboarding best practiceA hands-on approach and strong business acumenIn-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulationsExcellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keepingMethodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilitiesAn analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations but then simplify issues for othersExcellent communication skillsCertified compliance professional is a plusBenefitsWhat you will get...25 days annual holiday (which increases over time), discounted private healthcare, generous pension contributions, travel loans, a cycle to work scheme, subsidised gym membership, free fruit and drinks (including beers at 5:30pm) and exclusive discounts at many High Street stores.
