Our client is a national charity that supports offenders, ex-offenders, and their children and families.

Position: Volunteer Coordinator (Prison Specialist)
Location: Home based with extensive travel to CRC offices and sites across Thames Valley Area (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire)
Job type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £22,000 per annum

About the role:

Following their successful award of the NOMS ESF CFO contract in the South East they are recruiting for a Volunteer Coordinator. As part of their Volunteer Coordinator Team in the South East you would manage up to 40 Volunteers to support offenders in custody and in the community to prepare for and successfully resettle back into their local communities. Volunteer mentors will work alongside multi-agency Case Managers to provide practical help, advice and guidance, as well as motivation and understanding.

About you:

The Volunteer Co-ordinator will recruit, train, match and support their volunteer mentors as they support offenders in custody and community. The role is critical in ensuring that they provide high quality support, guidance, training and development opportunities to all volunteers. It requires excellent understanding of delivering volunteer programmes and an ability to oversee the activities of a team of volunteers working peripatetically across the South East region.

Please note that driving is essential for this role.
