We are looking for an ambitious finance individual for the role of Repairs Accountant for our Services area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant to provide accounting support for the Repairs Operations Team. The jobholder will maximise the profitability of the Repairs Centre operation though effective investment and management of the parts, payroll and overhead budgets and revenue generating activities; whilst liaising with the wider Finance team to ensure alignment on accounting, forecasting, reporting and budgeting to coordinate a seamless end-to-end finance service.

You will:
* Run the financial processes including month end, balance sheet, P&L for repairs areas
* Process the month end in a timely and accurate manner
* Understand and reconcile the related balance sheet accounts
* Ensure accounting treatments are in line with relevant accounting and minimum control standards
* Identify risks and opportunities and mitigate where required
* Work with the business partnering Team and providing support for strategic Repairs Efficiency programmes
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing insights into key drivers and movements
* Work closely with the Finance team based in Acton and other finance teams to ensure the operations are efficient and financial results well controlled
* Continually identify opportunities to drive business profit, cost savings and efficiencies
* Manage a team of two Trainee Accountants

You will need:
* A strong academic background (to Degree level)
* A recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong stakeholder management skills with an ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
* Accounting and Financial Management skills - able to apply financial knowledge to commercial and operational areas and explain clearly to others
* Written and Verbal Communication Skills - able to tell a complex story in a compelling manner via all means of communication
* Problem Solving - able to analyse and understand complex data and situations to recommend the optimal solution
