Contracts Manager

West and West Limited is a progressive, expanding, award winning electrical installation and contracting, family run company and are seeking an enthusiastic Contracts Manager to join our team and be proactive in a new department managing projects up to £100,000 value and the service/maintenance for new and existing clients.

Applicants will:

hold a JIB Approved Electrician Gold Card
have the skills, capability and enthusiasm to establish a new department of the business
have a superior knowledge of current regulations
read and understand drawings and specifications
have the knowledge and ability to complete testing and commissioning forms
be able to hand over projects to clients that adds value to the business
prepare reports for the Directors
be confident with Word, Excel and Outlook
be self-motivated, reliable, confident and conscientious
be able to plan and organise own work and that of the Small Works team
be able to motivate team members
have a full current driving licence
be proactive with continuing personal development

Main Role:

To develop and build a minor project and maintenance department
To secure new business
To seek out, secure and deliver projects ranging in value up to £1000,000
By contacting past and current clients with a view to carrying out their electrical maintenance and small works
To offer a post-contract service following project handover
To nurture existing clients and develop relationships
Develop and manage a small works team
Liaise with the Marketing Manager to plan and develop strategies

The Contracts Manager will report to, and be accountable to, the Directors.


The initial salary will be negotiable subject to experience but in the area of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
