I'm offering a great opportunity to work with a medium sized engineering firm based in the beautiful Cotswold countryside, commutable from Stroud, Stonehouse, Gloucester and surrounding areas.

The job - CNC Miller Setter / Operator

Do you have experience of setting and operating CNC mills?

Then I'm interested in hearing from you.

Most of the work you'll be carrying out is machining stainless steel and similar but if you have experience of working with other metals, I would welcome your interest too.

Experience of programming from scratch isn't needed, but I am looking for someone who would be confident in program selection, full machine set up, program prove out and first off creation, tool selection, tool adjustments and changes, making minor offset adjustments to programs as needed and checking work against drawings throughout the machining process.

The work you will be doing ranges from small to medium batch sizes. You will need to be familiar with using standard measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and depth gauges with minimal supervision too.

The machines you'll be using are CNC mills. If you have experience of working with any CNC milling machinery using Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, Fadal, Siemens or similar controls, you may well be just the person we're looking for!
