THE JOB:

As part of a small team of 5, reporting into the Intermediary Payments Team Leader, you will calculate and run payments for adviser charges, AMC rebates and commissions on a weekly or monthly basis.

Day to day you will produce and submit all documentation in relation to these three types of remittance; making sure the figures produced by the system are accurate. Where discrepancies occur analysis will be required to determine the cause before payment is authorised.

You will deal with your own allocation of queries from both internal and external contacts, mostly via email, helping to make sure these are handled within the relevant timeframe.

THE PERSON:

Required:
  • G.C.S.E Maths and English (or equivalent) at C grade or above
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to correct errors
  • Ability to work to deadlines and to also be able to deal with a high volume workload
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience using in-house systems/databases

Desirable
  • A good understanding of general economics
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of SAP accounting package
  • Understandings of the workings of an intermediary payments function
